WE HAVE BEEN TRADING IN THE ONE LOCATION IN NEWTOWN FOR 13 YEARS AND STILL TRADING TO DATE

As King Street Newtown traders since 2008, we found a need to service the epicentre of the ‘Vinyl revival’ with record shops opening up around the Inner West of Sydney.

Original release records in good order, still sound better than re-releases (let alone MP3 files) and many of us prefer to play these records on the original equipment they were designed for, and that’s where Classic HiFi can help.

That said, these components are all compatible with modern audio outputs from iPods, televisions, computers & the like.

We’re finding many customers may have a part of a HiFi system, but need a turntable, amplifier or speakers to get going. Complete systems are available or any part thereof. Demonstrations in our listening lounge are available – you can even bring in your own music for comparisons – iPods/iPhones are ideal for that purpose.

Our stock of amplifiers, receivers, turntables & speakers numbers is in the many 100’s and it’s unusual to see so many, in such good condition ‘under one roof’. We also may have CD players or transports, Digital to Analogue Converters, Cassette Players, Phono Pre-amps, and yes, even LP records and everything needed to care for them.

A broad range of replacement turntable cartridges and styli are available, even setup guides & equipment for tone-arm calibration.

All equipment is pre-loved, professionally serviced by one of our 4 technicians, detailed to CLASSIC HIFI highest standard & carries our 6 month guarantee.

We offer a Repair service for components consistent with our product range using our skilled team of technicians.

We are at 550 King St, Newtown, NSW, 50 metres South of the Alice Street intersection lights. Due to Covid 19 our days have been reduced to Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays,10am to 6pm but we may be open outside those hours for Christmas etc.
